Air Meter Tool for Balancing Throttle Bodies

Does anyone know the correct name for the little meter that is used to measure the airflow at idle on each throttle body when servicing?

I am sure Demon Tweeks or Machine Mart supply them but I can't recall the correct name so can't find te meter.

I thought it was an air mass meter or air flow meter.

Any advice appreciated.

Only if you have a vacuum take off on each TB(bikes do inc FI one's)a syncrometer is a little more flexible(fits on the intakes/trumpets)that vacuum gauge set is blinding by the way i still have mine left over from when i did motorcycles much better than more expensive kit as i remember

Easy to use and seems pretty accurate. Depends how much you want to spend and how exactging you think you need to be. Works fine on my cars.

I gave up superbikes for obvious reasons so no longer work on them either i find the lure easier to control this way in fact lately i was thinking of putting all my bike tools on Ebay

Been thinking about one of these off eBay for doing my twin SU's, but I think I've got the knack of them now, but its a pain having to take off the air box every time then compensating once it's back on.

Maybe one i will be back on two wheels!

I should think so Robert yeh the whole bike thing was getting out of hand really gets silly when a pack of us are out superbikes and owners think they spend a lot of money on their Tivs not so

I use the dellorto on my 4.5 AJP, very easy to use with a nice stable reading

I trimmed 5mm off the bottom of the rubber cone as it seemed rather close to the Butterfly, however this mod may not be necessary.

Balancing SUs, that takes me back, you don't need anything as sophisticated as that. A bit of hose pipe and a good ear always worked for me, you can hear the air. Was always pretty close when I checked with a Gauge after. ;-)

That's where I'm at, and being able to see the pistons (by taking the airbox off) gives a visual guide that the low speed idle is equal. I suppose I could just get a couple of those little square section rulers and put them in the damper spouts.

It's just a bit of a pose to have guages, I should actually use the colourtune I nicked off me old man too.

Have you gone to Webbers with the Spitfire?
