Anyone going? Donington 4th April
Discussion
Have been given the thumbs up from wife to go to Donington on the Sunday. Anyone else going I could link up with for the blast. I am heading in from the Cambridge area but quite willing to detour a bit.
Am keen to show off the newly coloured wheels on my Griff (matt black and look real mean).

From the east mids TVRCC website.......
British F3 & GT Championships Opening Rounds at Donington Park
See www.donington.co.uk/races for more details. Members wishing to meet on the way should muster at the Shell Service Station junction of the A52 & A46 near Bingham. Time TBC.

We'll be there, probably both days but as it's only 30mins down the M1 for us, come and say hello if you see a Green Chimaera (see profile) probably parked with a 'subtle' orange cerbera

As noted on the Tuscan Challenge forum, we have agreed with Ted that the Insane Racing awning will be available as a meeting place for Pistonheads members at Donington.
Look out for the PH banner in the paddock and feel free to come in for a cuppa and a chat.
You are very welcome to have a look at the cars and chat to the drivers/mechanics - all we ask is that if things are hectic, you give the guys space to get on with their jobs
Help with car polishing is always welcome

£12 each Sunday only and £15 for a weekend ticket.
Not sure if there are concessions - there used to be via the Club and advertised in Sprint but I haven't seen anything for a couple of years.
You need to speak to Donna Potter on 01332 810048 to order tickets. Maybe a surcharge for c/c so see if you can pick them up on the day. I shall be pickin mine up on Monday.

I have been going to the GTs for a few years before I know of PH or TVRCC.
Do TVRCC regions go to the race meetings as a group a lot?
Is it better to buy my tickets through them?
I have only once noticed a group of TVRs in the carpark and that was at Thruxton one year.
Huge group of Marcos at Donnington FIA GTs last year. No TVRs, but then again it did clash with PistonFest!

The local region don't really do anything special for race meetings, something was tried nationaly last year but it never really came together.
Usually at Donington all the TVR park up in the infield (no extra charge to get here, but the queue to go home will be longer) They usually end up parking in the central area which if you were on the front row would be looking down on the old hairpin
I prefer to be able to see the track from the car so usually park on the top area facing the last corner or on the inside of Redgate,
