I didnt really know where to post thios one and thought, who would enjoy it the most? I came up with you lot, so here goes.
A good friend of mine say's to me ' you'll never guess what happened, i was out in my boxter last night (think its a 2000 w) when I changed down from 5th to 4th and ...... bang i blew the bugger up, big puff of smoke and night night nurse'.
Now i'm not one to gloat but this was the same good friend who chose to start taking the p$%s out of my S as unreliable and 'you dont wanna buy that Maser, a right money pit them'.
Oh did I laugh.
Just to rub salt in his wounds, just out of warranty too, ouch.
I do feel for him but hey, German technology and reliability is "1st class, 2nd to none etc, etc"

Funky

What speed was he doing to lunch the engine in 4th, shame the rev limiter only works on the up change eh
Or has he just lunched the gearbox?
Either way most surprised that any panzer wagon could possibly be so unreliable at such at a young age well not if you listen to the posts on here.
If it was a Tamora/Tuscan they'll be posts for the next month about how unreliable they are and possibly articles in the Sunday Times or such like
You pays your money and you takes your chance, I think is appropriate.
How about trying to get it in the motoring press, what with benno (not sure if it was his?) having clutch/gearbox problems with his porker of a similar age. About as much chance of that as getting Labour to admit they're sh*te......
