TVRCC (East Sussex)

I've filled in the form to join (at last! ) and just wondered, out of interest, who else on PH is a member of the East Sussex region...

Active region with Sunday Drives, BBQ's, Bowling, Curry Nights, as well as a big party to Le Mans and other overseas trips.

Meets at the Piltdown Man on A272 in Piltdown, the last Thursday of each month.

E. Sussex was the first region I went to when I got interested in TVR's, lovely bunch of people.

In fact, as the saying goes, I liked it so much I bought the company! (the local one to me anyway)

I'm a member, though I've not been to a meeting for ages

My work commitment always interfered with the monthly meetings. Nice bunch of people though. Will eventually make the effort to go again, though sadly without a decent car to go in.

in West Sussex that is! Nevertheless I decided to join East Sussex instead

You could always move more to the West and we'd end up meeting somewhere in the middle...

DustyC...both East and West Sussex PHers at the Seven Stars meet but I don't know who are also members of the TVRCC for these regions apart from Tweety of course! hence me asking.

There were ten cars from SE London & NW Kent region.

I like the idea of all this multi region stuff.

Is it generally OK for TVRCC members to visit other areas meets?
I read in the last Sprint that the Essex RO* was welcoming visiting members and wondered if it was usually OK to turn up at any different regional meets

(*yellow peril? I always get the ROs confused).

Although Im a TVRCC member, Im not officially affiliated to any region - is anyone? I live in West Sussex (at the moment) but tend to hang out with Nick and his crowd at the SE London/NW Kent meets.

I regularly visit E. Sussex, Surrey, Mid Kent & Mid Essex as well as arranging my own region.

Anyone who wants to visit our meets is made very welcome, the only thing we ask is that you are a member of the TVRCC (or plan to join asap)

Have to confess I have been a member of the TVRCC since I bought the Griff last June and havn't shown my face at either West or East Sussex meets yet ...

I'm a member but have only been to one east sussex meet and that was the talk by Michael Caine on Le mans, I will go more now the evenings are lighter though.
I go to more pistonheads meets than anything else, more fun driving I guess.

That's partly what spurred me on to join at last, the lighter evenings. I quite often go for a blast around the East Sussex countryside when it's quieter in the evenings and thought I could combine a stop at the Piltdown Man once a month on the return journey! It's quite the best time of the day to go for a drive, particularly if it's still warm and sunny Also, East Sussex seem to be a pretty active region with plenty of well-planned events.

Do many Classic TVR's turn up at the East Sussex meets?

Yes been an active east sussex tvrcc member since 1998. Excellent bunch of people, and great events.

We have last thursday of the month at Piltdown Man, Sunday Drives, Le-Mans, and special nights etc. Nicks (ncs) region is worth attending too.
