Looking for replacement tyres and Mytyres.co.uk are showing Toyo 245/45ZR16 at £86.50 delivered which adding a £10 for fitting would bring them in under £100. The nearest fitted price I am getting is £117.50. I am concerned that they are so much cheaper and don't want to spend £170+ to have problems.
Anyone had any experience buying from them?
One place said that I may have problems with balancing but I don't know whether he was bluffing as I had a cheaper option.

Used them last month to buy 4 Toyo Proxes for the Tuscan. No problems, took about 4 days for them to arrive by courier.

Great service

I used them last year to buy 4 Goodyear F1s. Tyres turned up 2 days later by ParcelForce.

I'll be using them again.

Don't know how much yours would be (different size), but I got a pair of 195/50-R15VR T1's through www.BlackCircles.com got the link off PH.

£50 each, turned up in 4 days (inc. weekend) and fitted&balanced locally no trouble at all, and no hidden extras.

I've just used BlackCircles simply because they deliver the tyres direct to the fitters. You just turn up a couple of days later to get the tyres fitted.
MyTyres is cheaper but I didn't want the tyres delivered to home and didn't want the hassle of arranging the tyres to be delivered direct to the fitters.
Cheers...... Andrew

Thanks for some quick feedback.
I've got prices from Blackcircles, Top Gear, etyres, Silverline,Warwick (recommended by PH member), plus some local garages and this price is unbelievable.
Seems to be favourable so better get in quick before the price goes up.

I've tried black circles, they were next to useless.
Mytyres.com cocked up one of my orders and threatened to sue me from germany! .. for goods i'd never even had!

I now deal with a very friendly local guy who comes round on a van, as cheap as mytyres.com and and he takes the most care of any tyre fitter I've ever seen, he makes no money out of me the time he spends here, but is worth his weight in gold.

I'll never use an internet tyre seller again ..

Hi Paul,
I've used Silverline for years but they surprised me this time by being £30 more per tyre than BlackCirles! That's for 18" Toyos. They also refused to fit any tyre that thay didn't supply!
Where in the Midlands are you?
I'm in Leamington Spa and work in Redditch.
Cheers..... Andrew

I'm in Brum.
Its a real minefield as I want someone who isn't going to damage my newly refurbed OZ Split rims which I get back in a week or so. This is more important than the tyre price.

I used Mytyres - got them delivered to work. Caused a bit of a fuss in Goods in. Anyway, they were the cheapest by a long way and delivered within a week. Got them fitted locally. I'd use them again.

Another heads up for Blackcircles. They were fantastic, and delivered directly to a fitter in Leamington. Worth getting an internet quote and then phoning up or emailing to haggle - got me an extra 20quid off per tyre....

Was very worried about t'internet tyre buying - but well impressed with 'mytyres' - set of 4 Toyos for far far less than anyone else, with quick (free) delivery as well. You can also have a delivery address (tyre fitters??) different from your credit card billing address (home) if needed. I'd recommend them, but keep checking back on the prices on their website - I noticed their prices kept changing by a few quid here and there over the few days while I was working up the bottle to use them. Only made a tenner or so's difference, but worth watching out for.

After being impressed with BlackCircles a few weeks ago I now need front tyres. MyTyres (including fitting at local garage) is £34 per tyre cheaper!
I hope they're as good as reliable as people have said!
Cheers...... Andrew

I can imagine. I worked from home the day I am expecting delivery since it does look a bit odd having tyres coming into goods-in at your average company.

I've used mytyres a number of times - seem fine and I can get 'hard to find' tyres. Sorry to hear you had problems Jools.

I have used Mytyres three times and could not find anybody any cheaper. A set did go missing on its way from germany and so mytyres send a second set. As they don't hide the fact that they are tyres (i.e. they dont cover them up)I have known of a few people who have not received their order.

However in all cases the tyres were resent without issue, I shall use them again, with my local ATS branch fitting them.

Ain't that the way. I had 4 wheels (with tyres) delivered and our Production Director tried to give me a bollocking in front of my Boss (General Manager), and my boss decided that I was in his good books and gave him a ballocking for not being flexible enough.

I think he can't quite believe my LOW cost approach to performance motoring. Free Cars, Wheels off 'virual reality Freinds', starter motors from surplus obsolete stock websites, and a 1995 map book. He did mention my oil leak but I explained that MK2 Cavaliers don't leak oil. they mark their Territory.

Which compares well to his X5 with Satnav and 19 inch alloys. I think one of his tyres cost more than my car plus all the servicing, repairs and tyres I have spent so far.
