Looks like the first car's had its plate changed/been written off as it's not listed on the RAC site.

I wouldn't put too much store by that site, as of the 3 "random" (correct) registrations I just tried it with, 1 apparently didn't exist, 1 was correct and 1 was hopelessly wrong.

It's been pretty much spot on with all my cars. Maybe you just own a load of lemons? (Only kidding)

Shame if it isn't all that accurate. I'm in the process of getting a laptop ready to wire into the car with loads of neat gadgets - being able to find out the stock spec of a car I'm racing/whatever was high on the list of things to do!

A bit off topic, but have you seen this - www.stuffandting.com/carbox/?menu=stuff. A friend of mine (and another ex-greenheader, James) wrote it. Never saw the point myself but people seem to rate it...

Met him out on a drive off PH a few weeks back. I'm planning on writing my own for it - I've got a LOAD of cool software to install, and am considering setting up a side-line selling seriously-sorted in car PC systems for around £600. This should include touch-screen wide-screen monitor, DVD player, GPS, etc. The GPS alone will be like nothing you've seen before; overhead aerial photography of the whole of the UK - plotting your position on that, rather than a couple of wavy lines on a grey background! All of this'll be running from 2nd hand (but decent spec) laptops, so you can take it out of the car - great for catching up on PH and watching films in hotel rooms, etc.

Just working on my proof-of-concept one at the moment. Could do with a copy of "copilot" to see if it's any better for in-car route following than MapPoint, Navigator, Destinator, etc. though...

Checked out a few of my recently disposed of daily hacks - most were there but 'Date of Manufacture' wrong. Pleased to see an 87 XR2 Mrs Dodger had for 7 yrs is still around. Had another 6 owners though!

Couldn't believe my old 1967 MGBGT was still around! Although it shows 1 previous owner - must be typo and should read 10 (or more). Lots of old hacks not showing.

Sounds familiar, it wouldn't happen to have a reg that starts with SUY?
