When did you see your first TVR?
Discussion
Was just thinking back to my first sighting. It must be 10 years of so ago and it was a white Wedge with red leather interior parked up roof down in St. Helier, Jersey. Looked like it hadn't been washed in months, and the inside was full of dry leaves and empty fag packets. I'll never forget it.
Let's hear yours.

Was driving around Yorkshire on holiday in the early 90s. Drove past Harrogate HC and saw a Green S with an £8,000 price tag on their forecourt. Turned round and had a look over it. It was the first time that it dawned on me that TVRs were "affordable". That's when the rot set in.......
Took the TR6 to the GP at Brands Hatch in 1978. Camping opposite was a guy with a black vixen and I couldn't understand why he was always tinkering with it, taking the wheels off and polishing behind them etc. The more I saw of it I just had to have one, so two months later went and bought a new 3000M, UWE181S. Now on my fifth Tivver.

In about 1985-6 a friend called round unexpectedly one night . "just thougt I`d call ......and by the way got a new car"
It was a black Taimar with a red stripe [anybody here]
Needless to say he was the first person I went to see with my S3 a couple of years ago.

My first sighting of a TVR isn't so dramatic.
The first time I saw a TVR was when my father brought his new car home - a brand new 400SE - and asked me if I'd like to come out for a ride.
But I got my revenge many years later when I casually told him over the phone that I'd just bought a Chimaera 500. I had hoped to keep quiet about it and turn up at his house in it, but alas I couldn't contain myself and phoned him within about 15 minutes of buying the car.

My first (remembered) sighting of a TVR was when I crashed into the back of one on Dads first day at the factory.
I was sat in, I think an M or a very early Tasmin, whilst dad was moving another car, when I decided I wanted the radio on. I knew if I turned a key the music came on...
...so I turned the key. A little to much as it happend and it started up, the car lurched forwards and hit the car infront.
Dad was mad as a raging bull and petrified of getting the sack only hours after starting there. Martin was cool about it though and gave me a lollipop.
