Sent to coventry

hello to everyone;

I'm in a little dilema, the Tuscan has been repaired, (re-build). This is at no cost to me, and now it is ready. Problem is that they want me to collect it from coventry, (I live in leeds).
To weigh things up it will cost me the train fare of £29.50 + petrol to get back around £35 BUT at least it will have some miles on it towards its running in cirtificate.

What do i do

A) collect it at my expense
B) try to haggle for either the train fare or some petrol
C) wait upto 3 weeks for them to bring it back to Harrogate, as they say they will only do it when they have something else to collect from Harrogate

I must admit i'm willing to pay, i'm not tight and £60 for a rebuild is good value.
Am i being soft or should I try and hanker for a deal

PS If you collect it this Saturday you could call at Donninton on your way home.

Glad to hear the car's fixed. Try thinking about it this way... in three weeks how much will you have lost in:
Tax
Insurance
MOT
Depreciation

All for £60? Plus it'll have been sitting around for 3 weeks. And we know how much TVRs like that!

I travel from South Wales or London, depending where I am at what time, to Coventry for servicing BECUASE (in part) of the distance and the drive.

Nothing like a just-serviced car to race, sorry drive through the country.

Pay the £60, live life, few people have the opportunity to own such a fine automobile, having it sit for 3 weeks over sixty nicker seems tantamount to lunacy to me...

maybe you could hitch hike down to power that way you could save yourself a massive £29.50 for the train,drive out of power and stop down the road then you could call the rac/aa and get them to take you home.job done.although it does cost about £60 to join so you might of passed on that.

I'll fly over and collect it for you - give me your address - I'll even take the scenic route and take care of the running in too!

Seeing as I'm only 15 minutes away from Power, why don't I pick it up and deliver it to you. Then, when I've dropped it off, you can give me a lift home, then scoot back up the M1 - sorted. That way you won't have to get on a nasty common train and you get to drive there and back in your own car.
If anyone is currently on the lookout for a logistics expert, don't look in this direction!
