The annual TVRCC City Region track day at Snetterton has a few places going spare.

If you're free on Thursday 8th April, then give the TVRCC office a call on 01952 822126.

Price is £125, with a noise limit of 105db at 0.5m.

hello dannylt, how do the griffs / chims fair at track days, i.e tyre wear, handling etc

The only things which have happened to my griff (on a track day) is a loss of oil pressure, caused by the relief valve jamming, and a wheel bearing going (due to paddock corner @ Brands being too much for the bearing).

Tyre wear really depends on how hard you put it into corners, and the type of circuit you are on. Airfields are quite abrasive usually.

Get on a circuit, it's where the car belongs!!!

Normally oil pressure loss whilst on the track is due to oil starvation, unless you have a good baffled sump during hard cornering the oil pick up can run dry, then sometimes it is very difficult to re-prime.
I would recommend having the oil level just above the max level on the dip stick.
although your tyres may loose a few mm they will be nice and sticky on the way home
I recommend Bens website (link within within first post) really captures the spirit of track days amongst other things, if you haven't seen it go there.

They have plenty of power, so will always be fun on track. They don't handle particularly well, but who cares - it's not a race! Snett isn't abrasive like an airfield, so tyre wear will be down to your driving - from about 1mm of wear or new-to-illegal - it's down to you! Brakes are more marginal on these cars, but they'll be alright if you don't abuse them.
