EKP is ballastic bananas. You can tell by the headlight conversion and the fact that it says
"340BHP banana"
on the number plate!

BB's is the one with the Bodyworks headlight conversion. Nice cakes, very tasty, thanks a lot! Nce to meet a few new faces as well as a few "old" ones , and no, I'm not on commision from Jamer!

I made it to Sundays racing, having taken a run up the M1, topless for the first time this year, at speeds in excess of the limit by a factor of whole numbers greater than 1

The Ford Ka is Jane Payne's (TVRCC Events Mgr). Her Tuscan is in Blackpool. I was talking to her just before the final Tuscan race. Sorry didn't say goodbye Maggit and Dusty.

Good shots of the Logo there Andy taking everything into consideration it was a great weekend apart from the weather, big thanks to everybody who put all there efforts into getting Andy out onto the track for the 2nd race, even if Andy did use some crafty tactics to hold the race off so Steve & Co could finish the car off.

Nice to see you all there

A very disappointing day for me! Race 1 was going really well, the car felt great and I think we were in abour 7th or 8th and catching Tim Hood, when Darren spun coming out of the chicane and I had nowhere to go - on the grass and into the wall at about 70mph.

The team did an amazing job to get the car out for Race 2.... the parts list from the accident was..

Rear upright and rose joints
Rear flange/hub, bearings
Front wheel rim
Steering rack
Front wishbones and rose joints
2 engine mounts
Gear box mount
Gearbox
Door mirror
Brake disc
Headlamp
Front ball joint

...and the bodywork damage is on every side of the car - including the floor! The windscreen has popped out, the pedal box moved 4 inches - the list goes on!

When we arrived at the collection area something was still wrong - the ball joint had collapsed. Steve Howard changed it in an amazing 4-5 minutes, and we got back to the collection area in time to start with everyone else.

Inevitably the car didn't handle too well and I had to take it easy until I was confident it would steer and stop. Then to cap it all, the third gearbox of the weekend broke - I had to complete the last 2 laps with only 5th gear. To get any points at all this weekend was an achievement and is due to the huge team effort to get the car out. My thanks to everyone at Insane Racing.

I am nursing a very sore neck and shoulders this morning, but otherwise am ok.

Silverstone will be a very different story I hope!!

Yes...Mid Essex had a great weekend away......

Really nice to catch up with TVR and Pistonheads friends too...good to see Ian, who had made the journey all the way from Aberdeen...now that's what I call racing enthusiasm!!!

Thanks for the offer of cake Mrs Fish...and a good piccy of the Yellow Peril above too......

Glad Andy's all right......comes as a bit of a shock when you know the driver involved and an ambulance has to be called....

Here's to Silverstone..........

So am I! It was all over 2 or 3 times as we kept finding more problems, but the 'never say die' spirit came through.

When we came back to the awning from the collection area, I had my coat on and was about to go and watch the race from the pit wall.

To my amazement Steve started jacking the car up and told me to get back in..... absolutely incredible!

Thank goodness there were some Formula Fords stuck in the gravel, and also the John Reid from TVR agreed to delay the start as long as he could!

Thanks to you too David, for IMR's support. WIthout that we wouldn't be out there at all. Look out for a big IMR logo smacking into the wall on TV later in the week!!
