Yeah, I noticed that comment - I wondered what was implied by that?
I found PH via the TVRCC Website a couple of days after buying my Griff. It's an absolute graveyard compared to PH - I hardly ever visit it, as you can guarentee a similar response to any query within minutes on PH, as opposed to hours or even days on the TVRCC site.

I heard completely unsubstantiated pub gossip that there is "history" between the TVRCC and PH.
Besides, it can't have escaped the club's notice that the Gassing Station is extremely stiff competition to their own forums, so it's hardly surprising that they wouldn't give an unqualified endorsement to it.

With regard to JonRB's comment, considering that the Chairman, Editor of Sprint, a number of Club Officers and most ROs post regularly on PH there does not seem to be a particular issue. Whilst you may get a fast response on PH a lot of it is well intentioned "sorry but I'm a technical numpty and I would like to know how to sort the same problem" type postings with a few 'expert' postings.
The TVRCC forum although slower tends to attract the more technically capable response.
There is room for both and they can and do compliment each other. In the past year I have learnt quite a lot from reading both. All IMHO
swindorski46, Sorry but I don't understand your comment?

Haven't seen it yet. Where's my Sprint?????
Must admit that I hardly ever read the TVRCC site, it looks outdated (I know it's being upgraded) and it takes forever to get a reply to a post. To be honest the password protected forum thing is a bit daft. Yeah, I know it's to stop the 'My Saxo is faster than your Griff' posters, but there's none of that on PH is there?
By the time I've logged in and found the relevent page, I could have got perhaps a dozen useful answers/links on PH. PH is not necessarily better, just more people read it and the response is qucker.

with regards to the neil anderson interview,i have never met the bloke but he says he's not a team player,if someone likes football or rugby in an interview he wouldn't like it and would probably not give them a job!!he believes the UK is way behind the US in engineering motor skills and design
and being part of a race team if your not the driver sucks!!
have i mis-interpretted his comments because to me he comes accross as being a complete idiot?i think going for a drink with osama bin laden would be more fun than neil anderson
the first half of the interview he comes accross very well but the rest of it..??

I think the preference is to keep comments about the club in the club, i.e. on the club site.
I started a thread on the club site earlier, if you have any comments and are a TVRCC member please post them there.
Harry
I'll have a look later (going home now!) but...
All this TVRCC/Pistonheads rivalary seems so silly.
Both sites are excellent and could work together very well if given the chance.
I reckon (thats like a guess) that the better ROs use PH for its advantages and still keep tabs on their members for events etc by what ever means they chose. Whilst the other ROs just whinge about PH and try and shut it out.
I read the comment in TVRCC and though "Why are there still TVRCC members that dont like PH?"
(I guess this is what the article writer was pointing out).
I thought with the article on Ted a few months back all this was going to stop and an alliance was forming.
Oh well, I guess some people just liek a good old fashioned whinge
As a member of both TVRCC and PH I shall continue to use both for their benefits which Im sure the majority of us do anyway.
They have both proved great so far.
Home time now, off to play in the Griff again
