TVR Madness is it an illness?

So I have had a Tuscan for a few weeks, and love or hate the speed six it is different if nothing else, then last night I start justifying to myself that maybe it is lonely and if I gave up my company car and took the allowance I could justify a Cerbera with a V8 for ferrying around the kids. Is this behavior natural? Should I even be looking at the classifieds?

I have Cerb and V8S with no logical reason to keep either, have owned both for about 10 years

I love the way that one minute you are out there playing with and embarassing expensive exotica, or rumbling around town feeling really proud of your machine, and the next you pull up on your drive, slam the door shut and the wing mirror glass drops out and the boot solenoid sticks.

Mine is definately an illness.

I have spent the last two weeks trying to find why my door ECU's have blown and the door and boot solenoids are working intermittently. Then taking the dash to pieces hunting for a metalic tapping sound that has started to annoy me inside the cabin.

I seem to spend every spare minute out in the garage, or pondering what could be causing my current niggle, or searching PH, or test driving to see if the noise has gone, or popping out just one more time to check that the doors and boot are still popping open.

I just can't leave the darned thing alone...note to self, must get out more!

It is a maddening love/hate addiction but I wouldn't change it for anything else.

They are small :-), and there is a Grand Voyager in the house for domestic duties, it is the one needs to go to football and at the same time one needs to go to rugby, so never at full capacity. Sounds like a plan to me........

I even tried giving up a couple of times, but have now given up giving up!

Pretty sure I'll own TVR's until I'm no longer able to drive now.
