We have just returned from Derbyshire, after spending a very enjoyable weekend at Donington with so many TVR's
However we were nearly home on the new section of the A120 at stansted after calling on Castle TVR, When i noticed a silver Volvo Estate gaining on us very fast(Y Reg),
We were also going quite fast!!!OOOOOOOOPPP'S.
All of a sudden the radiator grill of this effin Volvo lit up with lot's of little Blue flashing light's, along with the alternating flashing headlamps..........
A sharp intake of breath by both of us, and pulled over on to the hard shoulder. i won't go any further, or even mention which one of us was driving, so watch out for a SILVER VOLVO V70 ESTATE Y REG,i didn't have a pen to jot the rest down,Oh by the way they were very polite!!

So did you get off lightly ie Mr policeman was being kind or were you doing just enough over to warrant the 3 points?

Thanks Dave, I'll pick it up tomorrow when I get back to work

Sounds like it could have been a lot worse, I guess you can't complain too loudly

Point five of a mile faster and it would have been an instant ban of one year, So we are both going to try to slow down a bit(for a while at least).

It was "vascar" they had a Video with the speed showing on the screen, and the length of time which we were doing the speed. As mentioned earliar look out for a silver Volvo V70 Estate Y Reg, We now know that the unmarked car comes from the Braintree/Bocking area.
So everyone in Braintree keep your eyes peeled!!

Sounds like you were a bit lucky Dave (or Diane)

Will keep an eye out for the Volvo - Essex Police do seem to like their estate cars as 'plain clothes' ones - seen a Merc and a Renault before.

OK folks it's time to come clean!! I bet you all thought that it was me!!!!!!
Well Diane has told me to tell you all that it was her that got the speeding ticket & fine.
So please don't take the micky out of her to much on Sunday, we are just so pleased that she got off so lightly, because if she had lost her licence, she would have lost her job, and it would have been goodbye to the T350c.
It just makes you realise that the boys in blue are there. so please take care out there!!!

I thought you must have been lucky and avoid the wide load on the M1. Sounds like it wasn't all theat lucky . Glad it's a bearable penalty though.

I stopped for petrol and ended up heading North out of the service station somehow .

See you on Sunday .

Seems to be a hell of a lot Volvos used by BiB as Vascars. I always slow down when I see a new/ish Volvo in front of me.I know of at least 2 unmarked Volvos in my area.

Bad luck by the way, sounds like it could have been much worse.

There are a couple of similar Volvos in use on the M1; I can never decide which county, either S. Yorks or Notts have them. At one stage I believe they had an Alfa as well!
