Shocking picture in Sprint maintainance section
Discussion
Reading Sprint last night (the section on servicing your car with a dealer I cant remember). Was a little shocked to see the mechanic purched on the wing, both feet of the ground, of a Chim/Cerb in one of the photos. Have to say if I saw someone doing that on my little baby I would not be very impressed with this servicing tactic and would give them both barrels and some more. I know fibreglass is strong but a flex in the body isnt going to do it anygood as I have found in the past. Any thoughts? Not trying to name and shame as the evidence is there, just wondering if this is normal.

Some things on the car, and on all cars, are difficult to get to and all mechanics have their weight supported by a wing at some time.

I was quite impressed by the care they were taking when working on the cars and the chap was by no means heavy. We were, at the time, talking about accessibility when working on the AJPV8 and I think he was making a point that, with a little care, you can get to most things. Mind you, the oil pressure switch is evidently a nightmare. He did give me a list of what has to be removed to gain access but the tape ended at that point and I couldn't remember all the items.
I'd be more than happy to have them work on my car.
