A lot of the "trick" TVR cars are these rage paints - the "silk" colours are amazing. 
Personally, I'd like a fully mirrored "chrome" car; might be a bit confusing to other drivers, though.

mirrored - mmm fantastic...
call in on a local paint suppliers (motor trade obviously not B&Q) one I use for commercial stuff has thousands of colours from all different manufacturers...

I've thought about all of this. Not sure at all if it's legal. But think how cool it'd look... just four anthracite wheels trundling down the road of their own accord!

Didn't Audi try to make a chrome car at one point? But it got canned due to the reflections...

VW / Audi have made at least one, when I used to work for them in Holland they had a Crome Beetle in reception (before thay started making them !!) obviously a Show Car

Big Al, you are definitely going to love the colour of the Tuscan in my dvd. If you give it the 'thumbs up' we'll have to make some enquiries to see if we can find out what it is
Edited to add: I decided to get the digicam out last night! And I've taken a close-up shot of the Tuscan featured on the dvd. It may not be truly representative of the colour but it'll give you an idea. I shall mail it to you later off-line to see what you think

Just make sure you dont get one of those daft shimmering paint jobs that try to look like more than one colour at the same time. You see them on everything from Nissan Micras to TVRs and they all look just as bad!
Just to add to the 'chrome' bit, out of interest. Not quite chrome but all Deloreans had polished stainless steel bodies. When Jaguar launched the X350 (new XJ - all aluminium) they polished up all the panels and showed it at the NEC. It was driven around a bit after then. Bit of a bugger to keep clean - and yes, very confusing to look at but I don't think it was ilegal.
