The Suns is shining but my drive was spoilt!

I had the opportunity to use the Tuscan to drive to a meeting today, so I planned a great B road blast of circa 45 minutes.
It took about 15 mins for the oil to get up to temperature, and just as it did I passed a police bike going the other way. The bugger then turned round and follwed me for 30 mins all the way along some lovely empt B roads. I had no intention of speeding but it meant that I have to be more cautious with the acceleration, especially when overtaking!
As I hit the outskirts of Stourbridge and the traffic jams the copper turned round and went back the way we had come! So my fun drive turned into a 30 minute pootle and 15 min queing.
The drive back had to be motorway so I could get to the next meeting.
Fed up! I want to play with my toy!

I wouldn't worry, most of them - particularly the bikers - are actually pretty human. Certainly it's no offence to accelerate hard if you're within the limits of traction.I can remember going past what turned out to be an unmarked 5-Series estate on the A303 with the pipes wide open on my S3. As I went past, about 80mph indicated and still accelerating hard, he put the lights on but no sirens (presumably to check if I was being observant) so I gently eased off to 70ish and the lights promptly went out. He then overtook me.
The only time I've actually been pulled over in this country was in my daily driver doing - well, it started with a 1 - and I was let off with a stern talking to (again an unmarked car). It was perfect conditions on a fully lit and otherwise deserted motorway though.

Same here (the noise not the points), they can hear me for miles. It has become a standing joke in our little community that it is only time before they put out the helicopter, and no I don't speed but it sounds like I am and it accelerates so quick that most people think you are going faster than you are.
