Wheres that red Cerbera Speed 12 gone?

Last time I remember, it was for sale. Anyone know who bought the red Cerbera Speed 12 and which part of the country its in?

Anyone know who owns and where the S12 racers are these days?

There was the purple 'Eversheds', blue 'Scania', the green/ blue 'Rollcentre' and there was also a white one IIRC? (Some may have been the same car?)

The red speed 12 is in the hands of development - ie in bits.

The white speed 12 is being rebuilt as someone has bought it to be a pace car/track day car.

I was told, by Michael Caine, that the red Speed 12 had been bought by a doctor/specialist. Apparently Michael still drives the car for special occasions on behalf of the owner.

There were only ever 2 Speed 12 Cerberas, the race car (which got repainted many times) and the silver road car which was later painted red

The RollCentre Cerbera was a Speed Six one

The GT1 Speed 12 (not a cerbera) was last seen rotting away up in the car park in Blackpool I believe

i really do hope it's true that the red cerbera speed 12 is still going around. i thought TVR didn't sell any but if they did i wish i can see this one! did anyone see it run up goodwood hill at the festival of speed a few years ago?

3 cars. Red/Silver road car and two race cars, one of which I believe was cannabilised for bits when Michael Caine had the 100+ mph crash at Thruxton.

Was up for sale in Castle TVR last year, with a price tag of 120k... whoch was fairly quickly replaced with a "sold" sign.

I was told that the car had been bought and was sent back to Blackpool for the engine to be fitted.

Was at the factory way back in Jan and saw the big Cerb in the dept where the T400/440 Typhons are put together. It was minus engine and I was told it was being readied for the buyer.

The girlie went down for a blast in one of their Tamoras (she now has her own) and the sales guy said it had been sold, but without the engine - or the engine was going back to factory. As the engine is/was vaguely 2 speed 6's together seems probable it will spend most of it's time there Didn't it need a full rebuild every 3-4k or something?

Yes - as far as I recollect it went for £150-£175k on the assumption that TVR would fit an engine (always useful!) and respray it...to some guy (I have a vague recollection that he is in his 40s / 50s and up North but don't hold me to it) who was going to take it on a race track a few times . Apparently the clearance is ridiculously low - you can just about get over a twig. Anything larger and you seem to have to get out of the harness, out of the car and clear it!! Mind you I am sure it would be great fun to have a go, even if you did have to hang out of the door as it was too hot inside

More details I am sure are available from Racing Green (my source!).

So....anyone seen it in action?

So.... too low for normal roads and i'm going to stick my neck out and say too loud for track days! please oh please if the owner is reading this take it to an airfield (VMAX) and let rip. because surely it doesn't move otherwise

Thinking back, didn't Keith Flint or Liam Hewlett of The Prodigy get one?

I know Keith had a 4.5, but have a vague recollection he uped it to a Speed 12?

I recall something mentioned about Keith from Prodigy buying a Speed 12 too. I dont know if he actually bought it, or if he just was interested, media has a way of twisting what it supposedly hears.

But bottome line is, where the hell are they?

Would be nice to create a W16 out of two AJP V8's... mind boggles....

I can see it now, Jeremy Clarkson saying along the lines of "we've heard of face distortingly fast TVR's, but this, TVR Speed (long pause) 16, will wake the dead when the right foot goes down, and, did I mention, its in production for the (Clarkson's famous random pause) 'immortals'"...

Hmm.. would make for an interesting crank configuration given that the AJP8 is a 105/75 degree vee with a flat crank. Still, if you want it I guess TVR would build it.
