Dirt cheap Tuscan

Hi All
My local Arthur Daley has just got his mits on a 2002 mk1 29k miles Tuscan and has priced it at £9995 on his forecourt. Claims it was acquired from another dealer as a trade-in. Absolutely no paperwork other than reg document and old MOTs.
It looks immaculate, no stone chips so assume a front end respray recently, all the interior bits & bobs seem to work and engine sounds sweet if lumpy at tickover. Clutch light but gears too clunky to easily engage. Also odd tyres on the rear.
I assume it will be a dog - am I being too pesemistic?
As a previous Tuscan owner myself, and missing the beast, I'm quite keen to get another one, hence the interest, but common sense says stay away and spend more on a car with history.
Opinions from current Tuscan owners would be very welcome indeed, so thanks in advance.

check garage on MOTs
You can get the history from the dealer. the REAL history.
Might not be that bad.
couple of tyres and some use may sort lumpy/clunky box. Any tvr laid up will do that
Non TVR dealers are scared of TVRs so at £9995 you should be able to get a whack knocked off.
Atleast you could have done if you hadn't posted on here.
Maybe a delete and do some digging if serious
