That about sums it up unless it was an "S"

Good man

If you do want to go "S" baiting then get a Tuscan/Cerb

Of the many times I have played at Bruntingthorpe, Porsche Boxsters have never needed to be driven away on a low loader.

The poower to weight ratio of a Boxster S is similar to a 993 C2. ie quick.......

Oh, are we playing 'my willy is bigger than yours' then?

What a shame I can't join in

They're bloody car enthusiasts!! And for the ones who aren't, what's it to you anyway?

Would have gone up the straight quicker on the back of a low loader

Hey Corinne was that outburst aimed at me? If so, sorry I've just walked in from 5 hours in the pub.

Seriously, the Boxster S is a rapid car, and as an enthusiast I am down right appalled for the owners, at the number of Nobles and TVR's that have not lasted the distance hooning about at Brunters for the day.

Still think Griffs rock though, when it comes to noise driving through the twisties. Of course if you want to get from A to B quicker then 4WD porkers rock.

DAZ
(Shame I can't fit in a Griff with the roof up.)

Depends what and where really. If you are "trying" then most of it comes down to the driver.

In the Griff I've easily beaten Boxsters of any ilk in a straight line, but add in some twisties and you've got a different equation. A good driver in an S (there are some *) is going to be difficult to shake.

Now, if it was the girlies Tamora against the S there would be no contest. The Tamora easily has both the handling and shove to take on an S. There is no doubt it's quicker point to point than my Girff. Just doesn't sound so nice

Just my 2p

Dave

* Footnote. Let's assume just 1% of Boxster S drivers are competent. That still means there would be about 50,000 of them on the roads.

Er not quite. They actually made some very good speeds with probably the best noise of the day. I'm just very dissappointed for the fellow enthusiasts who couldn't drive their cars home under their own steam.

Shame I missed it then, I would have loved to have heard this Boxster that sounds better than a Diablo, Tuscan, 360 etc

Er Mike I was talinging about the TVR's making the best noise. In many ways better than Tony's 118 decibal Lambo Diablo and Kevin's Cahllenge Stradale.

No, not at all Daz. I was agreeing with you if anything. Don't think the 'My car's faster than yours/dad's bigger than yours' stuff that was going on before you posted enhances anyone's image.

We drive TVRs, we don't need to score points off other cars.
