Tailended By Fiesta Today
Discussion
Just been tailended by a Fiesta today
It's Split the bumper and scuffed the rear panel.
Some
wit decided not to stop on the slip road from the A13 onto the M25.
Really pi55ed off as I've only just started using the car more as I was paranoid someone would hit it.
Now i've got all the hassle of sorting out repair quotes etc

I Will let you know.
Don't know how long it will be though until I can get it booked in.
I have got the other guys details, he had them all in the car with him.
I hadn't got a pen and neither had he so we drove around to Thurrock Services to get a pen & paper.
He waited while I went in (He could easily have done a runner but he didn't).
I think he felt worse hitting a car like a TVR.
I tried to phone his insurance this afternoon, but they couldn't find him on the system
, but being he went through a broker, He is most likely on another system which they didn't have access to today.Fingers crossed.
I hope it isn't a 4-5 week wait to get it done
At the moment it looks like I have had an argument with a Bollard.

Lee, how about PJ Wood? They are TVR approved bodyshop and may be quicker than a dealer. and it's closer to Grahame! - soz Gra'.
BTW it's not your responsibility to contact his insurers. Your claim is against the other driver so get a letter of BLAME in the post to HIM and tell him to forward to his insurers. Send a copy of the letter to your insurers with the claim form and follow up with quote(s). I have some experience in this field.

you havin a larf with me Dodger?
by the way - lucky I didn't go to that lap dancing club you recommended after you tried to drop me in it in front of Mrs Drum - cheers Mate!

TVR/Hilton Coachworks can book me in from tomorrow
I'm taking it up to TVR/Hilton Coachworks Thursday for a quote.
Only trouble is the guys insurance company won't authorise any work until He contacts them which he hasn't done so far.
I have talked to my Insurance company and they have said it is quicker for me to sort it with his company direct.
I have told the guy who hit me to report it to his Insurance Co.(Churchill) and He is going to report it to his broker (Who will report it to Chruchill) tomorrow.
I am going to call his Broker first thing to make sure they sort it over the phone with Churchill, as they don't need to fill out forms, a simple conversation will be enough.
As soon as he notifies them I can get a quote faxed to them and the work can be started.
Seems like I am doing all the leg work here at the moment.
All good fun......

Would have been funny if you had gone! - but I knew you hadn't so I thought it made you an
in Mrs Drum's books. BTW - nice to meet her at last! Must get together to compare pics of D.V.
Let you off then Dodge... didn't realise you had my best interests at heart -
As for you young Lee - sounds like they're leaving it all to you - make them earn their premium. I always thought the 2 insurance companies were supposed to deal with it?? Let me know if you want Head of Le Mans security sent round to sort 'em out...

Lee,
Try emailing those pictures to Paul/Jon at Ewelmes..they did a fantastic job on my car, and although they are a little out of the way, they are pretty quick with turn around times....and it could also give me an excuse to follow you up in the Cerb and bring you back

This is bad sh*t Lee, sorry to hear about it.
Personally, I would have topped him there and then and dug a hole for him in the grass verge with the spade and quick lime I keep in the back of the car for any such minor traffic infringements.
That approach, although seeming a tad extreme at the moment, will seem the best option once you have spent a couple of weeks dealing with the apathetic and seemingly IQ challenged people who work in insurance company call centres.
Good luck, I hope it gets sorted soon.
