Headlights - E Numbers and Markings

I had this over in General Gassing without any luck.
There doesn't seem to be an appropriate Techis Forum (Electrical ?) either.

I now have in my possession a set of Projector headlights which I would like to sell. However, I am not fully sure what I have and don't want to mis-advertise them or give false information. Therefore if anyone in the know on these things could help I would be grateful.

The lights have the following markings. (excuse text draw !!)

Right hand off side light

A 1a HC
02 01 00
-> -> ->

12.5 (E9) PL (E9) PL


Left hand near side light

HC 1a A
00 01 02
-> <- <-

PL (E9) PL (E9) 12.5



I think the E9 means they are type approved in Spain (and as Spain is part of the EU they are OK for the rest of Europe) but I'm not sure if they are RHD (angled left) or LHD (angled right).

I'm afraid I cant help with the markings, but it might be the case that the lights can be setup for LHD or RHD. The dipped beam projectors in BMW e30's (and I guess other BMW's of that vintage) have three screws that hold the projector unit to the lens housing, by slackening these off you can rotate the beam pattern to suit. Anything similar on your units?
