Toyos or Bridgestone?

Got to buy tyres for my Griff 500 (non PAS) this week.
Whats it to be?
Bridgestone S03
Toyo Proxes T1S
Currently have S02s and would replace like for like if they still exisited. I hear the S03s have a harder sidewall but run ok on slightly lower pressure.
Sizes will be 205/50/15 and 245/45/16
Been to blackcircles and mytyres for quotes already.
Quality and correct tyre is more important than the price.

Got SO3PP's on my Chimaera and love them, I have dropped the presure 2psi all round and they give excellent feedback.
Give Mitcheldever Tyres a bell too they are cheap I always go there. Also they have a laser tracking system which aligns all 4 wheels and sterring wheel, well worth the money (£25 IIRC) and you get a printout detailing all the offsets/angles etc.
How are you enjoying the car?

Had it a week and only use it at weekends. Managed well over 1000 miles so far!
Micheldever did quote me very happy. Would save all the hassle with mytyres too.
Plus the lasr alingment would be an added bonus (although the car feels straight anyway).
Plus micheldever are on the way home from work.
Its gonna have to be them really!
Bridgestones work out £50 dearer than Toyos but due to all that I have read from the searching around on PH I think its got to be the SO3s.

Give them a ring first, and depending on the time of day expect a queue, both times I have waited over 1/2 an hour. Don't take the other half either, on our last visit she sat and read one of those bloody womens magazines and then using my mobile totted up more than the value of 2 front tyres and laser alignment on bloody telephone shopping!

How long do front and rears normally last?
I realise this is dependant on the type of driving but whats the average?
On heated real driving...
SO3 on average will give you around 6000-8000 miles.
Proxies on average will give you around 3000-4000 miles.
I'd recommend SO3 on the rear definitely, Toyo's are very good tyres, but their wear is really bad.
Bang on SO3's on the rear and a set of Goodyear Eagles on the front, brilliant combination for shear grip on standard wheels.
SO2's on the front mixed with SO3's on the rear also is a good combination, but the Eagles are amazing in steering response.
Toyo's are good performers but really dont touch the Eagles and Bridgestones for on the edge heated performance, the Toyo's create their comparable grip through a softer compound mainly, and this is bad for wear and tear, and I wouldnt really trust doing 180+ runs on Toyo's too much IMHO.
For the record, got S03s all round.
They feel good and look even better and wider than the SO2s (Less directional tread on the newer tyres).
Cant comment on whether they are better or worse than Toyos since I havent tried them.
