Independent TVR Dealers in West Yorkshire, Nr Leed

Could anyone recommend a good independent TVR Dealer in West Yorkshire, NR Leeds.

I am looking to buy a Cerbie and want to do my home work first.

When I was in the Leeds/Huddersfield area with my Cerbie, I always took it over to Chris Neils (dealer) on the far side of Manchester for servicing, and down to Joolz (indie) in Chesterfield for upgrades. "Harrogate Horseless Carriages" are the closest main dealer, though.

Khalil, you don't say whether you are after an independant dealer for a purchase, or for servicing/upgrades.

In that case, you can't go wrong with Joospeed in Chesterfield. I was going to suggest James Agger or David Gerald for purchases, but never mind.

Just browsing through on the same subject. I bought a 5.0 litre Chimaera this summer

I now need to get it serviced. I tried contacting the West Yorkshire TVRCC RO but got no response to my email.

To date the car has always been serviced by main dealers, and I would like to have it serviced by either a main dealer or approved TVR independent.

As far as I can see it my options are:
Harrogate Horseless Carriages - Expensive (about £700 inc VAT)
Christopher Neil (about £600 inc VAT)
HL Gorner (Wigan) (about £500 inc VAT)
RT Racing (Sheffield)
JooSpeed (Chesterfield) (about £500 inc VAT)

1) Does anyone know anywhere closer to Huddersfield?
2) If not, can anyone recommend which of the above is my best option.

Would much appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Nearest independents I know to Leeds are the Sports and Specialist Car Company at Boroughbridge (www.sscarco.co.uk/1319/sscc.htm) and TVR Mads at Skipton (www.tvr-mads.co.uk/usedcars.asp)

Just noticed your later clarification that you were primarily interested in servicing, though - don't think TVR Mads do servicing. S&SCC do, though, I think.

Richard Thorpe (RT Racing) at Sheffield and Joospeed at Chesterfield would be top of my list. RT Racing's main problem is that they are right in Sheffield City Centre, with limited parking, so they are a pain to get to!

If you fancy a short trip over the Pennines, try SFR Engineering in Stockport - Shane's dead helpful, ex-TVR race engineer, and does fixed price servicing on his website here He's 5 mins from the M60, you could probably do it from Huddersfield in 45 mins or less
