Is anyone up at the factory in Blackpool this week. They still have the wee beastie and would be interested for 'reports from the floor'

I think the factory is closed this week. I´m due to pick my car up next week hopefully.

Spoke to Heath in servicing this morning so, unless he's doing a spot of moonlighting, they seem to be open.

Is it possible to visit the factory and look around even if you don't have a car being built ?

My girlfriend tried to organise a trip for me as a surprise outing on my birthday last year but the factory gave her a big NO, regardless of her begging and the fact that I own a TVR. Was told that I would have to buy one to get the tour.

Not strictly true. You can also enter the Tuscan Challenge and get a tour.

I tried to arrange a tour for PHers (via a dealer) and got knocked back.

Seems a shame to me - potential sales being turned away?

Daves right, I've tried in the past to organize a group visit too, I think they get too much of it these days and the general answer is quickly becoming a 'NO'.

These days production is high and an outfit as small as TVR cant just open up to the public. Now and again they have open days, but thats getting more and more rare.

Honestly though, you will be a little dissapointed when you get there anyway, its like walking into a local mechanics garage, nothing special, apart from the finished marvels that are waiting to be driven out.

Imagine walking into a Ferrari production line... I dont think so, unless of course, you're special.

Hope so....Tuscan S, Mercedes Meteor Grey (might be without the paint), Mulberry hide, cute number plate. Went 3 weeks ago for the micro dotting on the paint.

No one rings, they don't write, there's no flowers

.....and we miss the wee beastie. We're planning to do the mini back home, but would be better with the wee beastie back.
