Optimax or equivalent in Europe?

We'll be taking the Tamora to Europe this summer - France, Italy and Switzerland.

Can you get Optimax on the continent? Is is called something else over there? Are there any other recommended similar high octane brands to look out for?

What is the Octane rating for Optimax ? , here in Sweden you can get unleaded 98 and i think thats it
never use shell stations maybe they offer something similar to Optimax ?

Shell sell something in Germany V-Max ?, that appears to be rated 100 octane........

The only place you may have trouble is Italy. Not all service stations sell 98 octane... ONLY Shell does. Last summer I printed out a list of Shell stations that have VMax or whatever they call it from their internet page so that I'd know where I could find high octane.

Moral of the story - if you have half a tank or less and see a Shell station, stop to see if they have 98 octane and fill up if they do. It can sometimes be a long while between those stations...

Its called V-Power and its 100 octain. Makes the car go like stink.

I think they sell it in most Shell stations in Germany, not sure about the rest of Europe.

May be we should start a campaign to get it over here.

Don, any cheap Spanish brandy or Andalusian white wine should power the car quite adequately

And leave pleasent smelling exhaust fumes

I think 98 octane is fairly popular in France. Seem to remember getting it at every garage each year for Le Mans run.
