Went out with my brother for a PR event today: Me in the F355, him in his Tuscan (4.0, Nitrons, 19" wheels and CCC cans)
Empty dual carriageway, third gear, side by side, Johnny Large Potatoes...
It's official: The Tuscan destroyed the Fezza in every gear. It wasn't even close...
Then he proceeded to make me piss myself by fishtailing it up the road at a set of traffic lights. (The Fezza can't spin the wheels without sidestepping the clutch, which I refuse to do...)
He described the Fezza as being "all mouth, and no action" and the TVR as the "one that smacks it straight in the face!"
Now got to try the cars in the twisties. I get the feeling it may be a different story...

The figures say it all!!!
Tuscan 0-60 is around 4.2 seconds appaprently (www.tvr-eng.co.uk) and the 355 F1 ('97) is 4.6 (www.ferrari.it)
No sure how the Tuscan would bear up over a standing mile though.
Gentlemen, I move for a dual on an airfield. I've got fifty quid on the Tiv!! (gotta stay loyal!)

quarter mile for my old 4.0l tuscan on 16" wheels is
12.837 including reaction of 1.124= a qtr mile in 11.713secs at a terminal of 112.37(although I did get faster later)
That is very fast. In fact it was quicker than the Tuscan S press car... I did have a good engine though.
Anyone on here got it May 2001 GTS Blue with prussian and Portland sold from Hexham Horseless.

i'd rather see a test against a 360 or 550/575 than one against an ageing 355.
Give me a couple of months, and I'll let you know!

the result here is not surprising and hardly big news
The thread wasn't intended to do anything other than reinforce what we already know: that a Tuscan can hold it's own against cars twice the price... Tuan
One thing I will say about the F355's at Vmax was they sounded fantastic! In fact when I was watching one of the video clips posted on here, it got to the bit where the two 355's gave it half a ton of right boot from the start and the noise was so loud my cat crapped itself and ran out the room!!!
They don't sound as nice as a Griff though!!

i didnt see any 355's at VMax - but the 360's sounded absolutely lovely
I have in car video footage with Ali in the black 360 spyder and it sounds just fantastic. Different noise from TVR, but stunning all the same
Oh - they were there.

I lost the first as was on the dodgy side with loose gravel in the wet.
Alan.
So what you are really saying is that the Ferrari was on the dodgy side all the other times
ah yes but it got drier and they have all the traction control thingies....so a fair comparison me thinks
