Does anybody have a clue as to what is going on with online insurance quotes at the moment? I've been trying some of the well known insurers and they have produced some interesting results!
Why is is cheaper to insure the following rather than a 4.0 HC chimaera?
a 4.3 chimaera by £250 ish
a 5.0 grif by £260 ish
a cerbera 4.5 by £250 ish and
a brand new T350 by about £100????
on the up side another well know insure quoted that it's cheaper to insure a 4.0 HC and even a 5.0HC than a simple 4.0 chimaera?? WHY?

As always with insurance, it is all down to risk - if they have had a lot of claims on a particular model then they up the rate, similarly if claims have been low or they want to attract a model or type of person, then rates drop
