hi guys, have tried the search function but it isn't throwing up any results, I was just wondering if anyone has ever had to claim using these guys as they don't do agreed valuation, at the moment they are the only people who will give me a reasonable quote unless I go through my company policy. I just dont want to go with these guys and if i ever need to claim they value my chim at near enough nothing as its over 10 years old.

cheers

One guy on here was hit in France, and he said they were very good and got the car sorted - but that's all I've heard from a claims perspective.

The policy itself is from NIG, so would've thought valuations would be handled by them, not MSM anyway?

well yes i know they have the underwriters and the policy is from them in actual fact, but coming from classic triumphs I have always had a healthy agreed valuation if the worse should happen, as yet it never has but you never know if there is a numpty round the corner etc. just dont wanna pay out for a policy which is only going to value my car at a couple of grand if that due to its age, I'm sure they wont otherwise people would be slating them, but just want to check thats all.

cheers

Hello, my son is with MSM, and they seem pretty good, very competitive quotes indeed. Also, they are now underwritten by KGM, not NIG.

I've had to ring round following Hagerty's non ability to renew and MSM couldn't offer agreed value as the Griff is not 15 years old, but were very helpful and quick with the quote - they weren't competitive though for me. For information Henderson Taylor were also very helpful and although they couldn't do agreed value they were a lot cheaper so could be worth giving them a call. (Their policy is underwritten by Aviva).

Have you tried Mannings? Specialist TVR insurer and they do agreed valuations (I have one), they were very very competitive for me.

unfortunately with Mannings and many others i come below the minimum age of 25 so just cant even quote me, at the moment MSM are sat at about £650 and no one else can come close to that, other than my business Insurance

I've got MSM Insurance. Thankfully no claims, but I've found them very helpful.

Just got a quote from MSM, they are pretty much the only company that have given me a quote that is sane! 99% sure I will be using them come renewal time in 3 weeks. Just gotta wait for Admirals renewal quote (doubt they will come near tbh).

I'm with MSM, they don't offer agreed value but it is market value instead so will pay out what it would cost to replace with an equivalent and on many TVR models the values may well go up over time so I thought that sensible. They told me it was a case of looking a twhat is on the market and the asking prices and it is based on that.
