new year blast

anyone else been out for a blast this morning? went around the city (london) getting lots of surprised looks from the early bird tourists. just love the sound bouncing round the buildings.

must have seen a hundred empty double deckers getting in my way though. guess the double time hours were more than some could resist.

Went for a New Years eve blast in the Chim with the Essex Lotus nutters. I have never had to concentrate so hard to keep up with the lead group!! Getting the power down was a real challenge. I think i broke my record for length of wheel spin up a country lane!! Thoroughly enjoyed the very fast paced drive in tricky conditions. I know my lotus has soooo much more rear end grip, but the TVR was thrilling. It's good to show off the capabilities of a well setup TVR to the other side on occasion

When I looked out the window this morning it struck me that it was the first day in ages - having been away over Christmas and snowed in before - that the conditions were right to take the car out. Dry and sunny, it would have been perfect for a crisp New Year's blat. But sadly I have flu at the moment and I can barely manage walking, let alone slithering around on winter roads in a TVR.

Took the tuscan into work yesterday for two reasons, 1) they open the underground carpark for those working 2) so I could leave early and take a rather long trip home

Took mine out through Moorgate, Bank and over London Bridge about 1.00 today, as you say tamore, the sounds reverberating off the buildings is great, very little traffic, and seeing the reflection of the car in the mirrored office glass was cool...tourists also seemed to like it too

Took my Wedge out for a blast today. Weather was dry and the roads are the best they've been for a while. It's been about three weeks since I've had chance to go for a blast and cold dense air is marvellous stuff for the engine.

Anyway, the main reason for taking the 450 out for a run today is that it's 20 years since it was first registered .......so happy 20th birthday to my wedge.....and many more to come!!!

Went to get mine out on Thursday for a final run but after a month or so standing with no use (due snow) it turned out the battery had died.

The tax ran out yesterday and it's now SORNd.
