tinting headlamps

how dark is legal i wonder? anyone done it and which product did you use? being a black car think it would look pretty good.

I did mine using a "fly eye" kit. It dropped a huge amount of light output though, but now I've moved to HIDs I am going to re-tint using the same stuff. (even did my front indicators till i get time to change them for clear ones)

With the lights being round and curved it was a little tricky to apply, so will use some heat next time.

The only pic I have before I removed the tint. I think it looks quite good with darker lamps.
