Can't decide...help...!

Having just sold my 03 4.2 Cerb and thinking I'd stick with my 07 335i conv for a while whilst saving for a new home, I can't help but linger for "something" else. 335i is fab but nothing in comparison to the smile the cerb put on my face. That said the bills didn't make me smile much even though I went in eyes wide open.
So at the risk of offending the differing tribes, I'm hankering after either a griff or Tuscan. So if you go....should I look at a 4.3 pre cat or a mark I tus? Also warm to a 500 but something tickles me about the 4.3....yet the mkI is stylish subject to perhaps a rebuild. What do you reckon?I've driven both by the way and love both even if the griff feels less "together" though that's from one who isn't a a1 driver....HELP..!

The 4.3 pre-cat is THE best Griff engine.
OK, its not as powerful as the 500, but there isn't much in it. But its such a free revving engine with the lovely V8 growl straight out of the box, so no messing with the exhaust to get the right exhaust noise.
Get an early pre-cat and there is no power steering to self distruct regularly, and although the LT77 box isn't as sharp feling as the later T5 you get in 500's its solid enough for Land Rovers and you get used to not doing 'racing' gear changes.
The Griff and the Tusc are different animals completely.
Traditional with a rumbly V8 vs Funky with a screaming S6
You'll split the TVR community on this, and the only person who can decide is you but I suspect you'll have to drive both to decide.

Unbelievably two of my old cars are up for sale at the moment! Both cars are superb motors and I would have both back in a heart beat if I had more garages
