Is TVR GBs largest independant motor manufacturer?

As it says on the tin really! I believe with production around 800-900 cars pa, TVR is the biggest independant car manufacturer in the UK - am I talking cobblers? (With the exception of MG-Rover)

I see more Tivs on the road than Caterhams, Marcos, Bristols etc.

No, MG-R make vehicles. They've not launched a proper car yet.

I understand that during the brief phase that BMW owned the Rover group, TVR were the largest UK manufacturer. Then as soon as BMW had extracted all of the interesting bits they sold the leftovers back. I am not sure where TVR stand now but I understood there production was in excess of 1.000 units per year.
