County TVR, again
Discussion
Just picked up my Tamora from County TVR, Cheltenham after having it's 12K service, which included the tappets.
The cost, which included 2 new rear tyres, and a few other minor niggles which I pointed out beforehand was £997.96, £252.00 of that were for the tyres.
The guy, Rob, is really helpful, and the Tam now runs great, even in the rush hour traffik in the pouring rain! Engine sounds better, it now starts first time!!, handbrake no longer sticks, transmission tunnel no longer rattles, I could go on,,,,,,
Only one thing,, they did notice that when they changed the rear tyres, one of the rear wheels was/is, actually, a front wheel
, I have 3 front wheels!! lol. I have ordered a new rear wheel though, which County said would change for me once it came in.
All in all, a very nice experience, as I was expecting to pay around £1400/1500 for this major service!
I would heartely recommend them to anyone who's in the Gloucestershire area, I will not use anyone else now.

So, Chris, are you saying three front wheels were fitted by the factory? Gulp! Did they think no one would notice coz they all look the same?
I wish I knew!!! lol,,, the guy at the dealers said that it isn't really a problem, although I did wonder why the round centre TVR wheel cap I ordered didn't fit on, due to the centre wheel nut protuding too far out,, now I know!
I said that I will have the unmarked rear/front wheel changed to the n/s wheel, as that has a couple of minor curb scratches, meaning I will have 4 unmarked 18" wheels, high price to pay though!
Sorry to hear about your experience Maddog
, I too have found that when I have visited 'unnanounced', there is no one to be seen! I have since learned that a phone call before coming down helps, otherwise they always seem to be on the phone for ages before you're asked if they can help. However, I certainly cannot fault them for the service, was dreading finally seeing the invoice, especially with 2 new 18" rear tyres on top of a 12K service! (They still spin in the wet though! lol)

I second that!
Maybe catch you at a TVR c3c meet?
Yes, I must make an effort to attend the next meet, I have been so busy with my work and business the past year that I have kept missing each meet. When is the next one?

Always 2nd Wednesday and last Sunday in the month.
Wednesday 12 May 20:00 Gardeners Arms Alderton (just north of Winchcombe/Prescott) or Sunday 30 May 13:00 Puesdown Inn on A40 Chelt side of Northleach.
c3c have many events planned (including driving Spa and the Ring!) - take a look at
www.tvrcc-c3c.co.uk and www.tvrtalk.co.uk
]I think once I get the car I may come down and join you on the Puesdown Inn meets! That way I can see the folks in cheltenham and find a reason to escape!
That would be nice
, 2 Tamoras together, a very rare sight indeed
I have noticed in the car search database in Autotrader has almost 30 T350Cs for sale, trade and private, and the Tams are in the teens!!

I don't get to every c3c meet but I think the only Tamora I've seen at a meet so far has been a demo from County TVR. Come along, it'll be great to see a few more.
