good insurance for tvr not over 10yrs

any recommendations? currently with a1 but the quote has gone up so shopping around. adrian flux i tried but even more expensive.

Depends on usage but both mine are with Classicline as future classics. Although they are both over 10 years old I think they do younger ones.

If you have any other vehicles try a multicar policy, I use Sunninghill (Jelf group). Covers my van and T350 and allows me to drive other vehicles whereas the stand alone policies did not.

I renewed in Jan; previously with Flux, who to be fair had by far the best price last year, but gave me a terrible renewal quote this year!! I'm 36, 8 years no claims, rural postcode; quotes were for fully comp - my research led to the following if it is of help:

Flux - £833 (5K miles; inc £15 PA cover, £52 breakdown cover and £14 keycare)
Heritage - £833 (5K miles; assistant said modern TVR's seen by them as high risk and therefore they loaded premiums)
A-One - £791 (7.5K miles) or £680 (5K miles)
Classic Line - £568 (5K - high excess with this policy @ £500)
Mannings - £581 (7K miles) or £489 (5K miles) - must say Lee @ Mannings was excellent and their TVROC policy includes 45 days European cover, track days covered and use of repairers of your choice.

MSM £490 (7.5K miles!) - winner! I was after higher mileage allowance, low XS and choice of own repairer in event of problems. As I do not track the car the added 'bonus' in a Mannings Policy was not needed. Rest of MSM policy met my needs. Speak to Dawn, she was fantastic.

Another one insured with Classic Line, they were the cheapest by far, I had to ring round just about everybody after Hagerty's decision not to insure TVRs.

After 8 years with Jelf/Sunninghill, I have received notification that they/Chaucer are no longer insuring TVRs, unless they are part of a multi car policy.

Cheapest by far for me too, cheaper than the previous year with Hagerty even. Plus they paid out an agreed value on an incident a few years back. About £560 for 3 TVRs.

However, my daily driver has gone up by 50% this year, with no change of circs at all

Price is very good.
Wrote my Mk1 Tuscan off in 2009 and they couldnt have been more helpful or profesional.

I went with MSM as well and my car was 9 years old. Easily the cheapest quote but they wouldn't agree a fixed valuation on my car. They assured me not to worry as they are fully aware of what Tivs are worth!.
Big hike in prices this year from all last winters claims, I recon they will probably be up next year as well.
My Tiv is up 15%, Audi up 25% and my micra up 40% from last year (total over £300 more). A little bit out of order considering I have never even scratched a car in 19 years of driving! Wouldn't like to be a new driver starting with no claims.
