New seats & interior trim

The current interior of my Chimaera is Green/biscuit. I would like to get it retrimmed, replacing the biscuit with either cream or stone. I also want to replace the seats having at least the drivers seat height adjustable. Anyone out there with 1st hand experience of retrimmers etc.

Thread on general gassing about recolouring leather and vinyl, might be worth a quick look.

Had the dash and surround retrimmed on mine a year ago. Good job, took quite a while though and the light grey they used was a different colour and texture to that on the rest of the car.

Worth checking wqhoever does the job understands how TVRs are put together, (so they don't cock up on takign it apart), and simple as it may seem that they have enough leather thats right for the job..

I got 2 Cerbera seats from Douglas Valley scrappy and had them recovered by Martrim. Both in Sprint and in NW.

Taffone I see from your profile that you're in S Wales. Autostich in Blackwood do retrimming, they replaced my rear screen and were very good to deal with. They were retrimming a Porsche 356 when I was there and also did some work on a mates' Range Rover. When I had it, I used Leisure Trim in Caerleon to recondition the seats in my old 'S' and he replaced the entire roof on it as well. He also does retrimming and is a qualified master upholsterer. From recollection the local Citroen dealer used him to retrofit leather interiors. When Newtown motors were a franchise, they used BAS in Cwmbran (big Classic Jag restorers). If you have a quick look in the Newport yellow pages, there are about six car trimmers to chose from!!!

Hi, just had all of the interior of my Wedge done, new carpets, new leather and vinyl evcerywhere. I used a chap called John Taylor, based in Larkfield, Kent. Excellent job, price including the boot was just over £3k! I had leather put in a lot of places that is vinyl as standard. His number is 01732 840653.

I used Touch of Class upholstrey in Ystrad Mynach .. Top Job on the 400SE. New Carpets, new seat facings and stiffer foam put in them, also, just had the door trims done to match.all for change of £1000.

I also started the Thread on colouring vinyl under general gassing. Watch this space .. the stuff has been ordered, and when I get around to sorting it, I Will stick a few Pix up.

also, if your near Blaenavon area in South Wales, You can see the car.. it will be at my parents when the new engine goes in in 2 weeks time.

I used a company called Silver Lady. They are really good. Their web-site says they use kits but not any more. All their interiors are made to order. When I was there they were doing a Mk11 Jag and an Aston Martin V8. excellent job they were making of it too. Located in Crynant, near Neath. 01639 750076. Friendly blonde Lynn in charge.

Know of any good trimmers in Essex? I had a lrather large water leak and need to get some of the carpet replaced, also the drivers seat could do with some attention.

I used A & R Pound in Baldock Herts, not too far away from you, they did a good job. Prices are good but they are booked up for months, give them a try?
