Speed 12 in Racing?

Could someone please tell me about this Speed 12?
As in what series it raced in or if it was just a prototype? Spec. maybe?

think you will find it was raced in the British GT series around the late 90's. Sure if

It's the factory race car for the Privilege British GT Championship in 2000.

The car in the Video is infact the Speed 12, the car in the pic the Cerbera Speed 12.

The Speed 12 was the original prototype, last I heard it was in pieces at the factory.

The Cerbera Speed 12 was born from the Speed 12, IIRC after the FIA saw the Speed 12 and realised that it was another 420SEAC just 13years later. They changed the rules, which effectively made the Speed 12 obsolete. To show the world they meant business TVR went back to the drawing board and came up with the Cerbera Speed 12. Same engine, different everything else. The CS12 was raced in the British GTs for 2 or 3 seasons, IIRC the Sp12 only lasted one season.

Of course TVRs GT challenge now comes in the Form of the TuscanR/400R/440R. Not sure where the CS12's are now (I think there are 2).

I saw the CS12 racing at Silverstone a couple of years ago, the noise was just awesome.

[Gaffer]

The original White Speed 12 has been bought and is in the process of being rebuilt.

The red speed 12 has also been bought and is being sorted.

One is going to be racing again and the other one is going to be a pace car.

Cant rememeber which one will be doing which job though.
