It's the result of an aqua-plane incident on the M6, hit a patch of standing water on a damp road! Thankfully no serious injuries and as I know the driver very well, I know there was no excessive speed or driver error involved, spun backwards into the central barrier and then spun 'round to collect the barrier again going forward. It was the most perfect Chimaera you would ever find before the accidend and it's awful to see it damaged..... Paul

Very sobering - could happen to anyone, indeed I recall a brown trouser moment with standing water a couple of years ago where I rounded a bend, could see the water in lane 3 (blocked drain I guess), but just nowhere to go due to all the guys in lane 2 being nose to tail... fortunately it was a straight enough section but disconcerting to say the least.Paul
