Ctek or Accumate?

Looking for a decent maintenance charger for the Cerb, what are peoples preferences?

Halfords one, £24.99 or thereabouts have got them on both of mine and they are fab.

There's lots of threads about this very subject and everyone has their own opinion.

Ctek for me, never had to change it, so no idea about the others.

Always had mine on an Accumate. It's never failed me. Can't comment on any others, never used them.

Accumate for me through the ciggy lighter!

ctek for me , more advanced and it recovered a deep discharged bat that the accumate could not revive

I just plumped for the CTEK - with ciggie lighter attachment. Neat little box that seems to do the job well.

+1 for accumate through cigi lighter, bought from leven and were spot on. Also accumate on my last chim and had no problems there.

My Cerb has been on an Accumate for 6 years (and sometimes 4 months at a time in the winter). Never had a problem with the unit or, thankfully, starting.

I use one on my Sagaris wired into the boot light, on my m/cycle/ on m/home and they have NEVER failed!

CTEK. Have heard nasty stories about Accumates overheating and killing themselves. My brother had two die on him.

*shrug* Scoff all you want but my brother had 2 that fried themselves and he's not the only one by all accounts. The guy asked for opinions so here's mine.

I have one of each, both work!

I have a CTEK XS 3600, it was wired into the Battery of my V8S.Worked fine for me.Gazzab very witty.
