by a dozy feckwit on a bl00dy moped!

Backed out of my driveway, poodled up to the end of the road and stop at the give way, look for a break in the traffic and BUMP!
WTF???
Look in the rearview mirror and there is the frigging Honey Monster on a moped

I leap out, to inspect for damage he trys to tell me that there isnt any - find a scuff mark on the nearside light lens
I point the damage out to him and he denies initially that it was him and tries to decline my request for his details - I can be very insistent

"Its only a scratch I cant see what all the fuss is about"

My reply :censored

He gives his details and I note his reg no, ask if he wants mine and he declines.

Managed to polish out most of the scuff

People like that Pee me off!!! He can't see what I'm making a fuss about - he might not care about his moped (judging by all of the scratches on it, it's probably a regular occurrance)

Arse! I hate stuff like that. Just another example of the low life that is poluting our roads. Burn them. Burn them all!

Sorry, crap mood.

Now that you realise that you over-reacted and there's no damage maybe you should phone him and offer to buy him a drink.

Marcos, that thread got better as I read it. So glad there is no more damage than that, my heart sank when I saw the title with your name next to it.

May I suggest you phone the muppett arrange to meet him and show him what his fecking eyes are for. What chance have we got if a tw@t on a moped can't be arsed to look where he is going, one day the half wit will get a car, I can vouch first hand for the damage they do, and it won't be a small scratch.

Good grief - I can't imagine the abuse this moped rider would have got if he had actually damaged the Chimaera - seek help guys! Your lives are obviously badly out of perspective.

Worst nightmare on our P&Js... rear-ended is a nightmare... the most common traffic accident. Thank god its not much more than a scuff.... I'd still report it to the insurance company and stuff and get his insurance company to pay for a check up just to make sure nothings gone loose!

So, the plonker clearly wasn't able to see where he was actually going yet a few moments later his eyes managed to make a miraculous recovery in time to insist that he hadn't so much as caused a scratch...

Right!

He must be severely myopic in that case. A trip to Specsavers is in order me thinks! Perhaps you'd like to frogmarch him there, MM?!

Jigs,
With the greatest respect friend (and obviously I cannot possibly know) if you had ever had your P&J rear ended by a new driver who had caused approx £11.5k's worth of damage just because he couldn't be arsed to look where he is going you cannot know how it feels.
OK so it was just a minor scratch, but it could have been so much worse, worse than car damage, what if he hadn't had his lid done up and gone over and head butted the car, what if he had bounced off into oncoming traffic, what if, what if, what if.
The best possible thing that can happen to him is our dear friend Marcos scares the living shite out of him, because one day it may not be just a scratch on a Chimaera it might be a kid that wanders out in front of him. There is no excuse for running into the back of someone. None.

Not looking for a fight mate, but take it to an extreme. "It's OK, I know he shot me, but he missed my head and just grazed the palm of my hand".

Yeah - or at least a sip from his can of Special Brew, provided he hadn't dropped it when the prick in the Chimaera stopped suddenly in front of him.

Glad it's not too bad,but it's a lot of hassle for you to go through.
Jigs, i can usually have a laugh with you, but if you were a true TVR enthusiast you would understand what he is going through. It's not just a car but a way of life

I'm just trying to deflect his pain and anger in case he tops himself or kills the moped rider.

jigs it's not surprising you get so much abuse given to you, perhaps you should read what is being said.

Having had an idiot on a moped run into the back of my TVr, I can say that having stopped at a roundabout it is a bit rude when some little spotty toerag runs up the back of you for one reason only, he can not see!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I only had a scratch, but it turned out to be cracked fibre glass as well. Get it checked out by a dealer with a body shop or a repaiar center that does TVR's.
When it is your P&J and the git who hit you has caused more damage to your own vehicle than his is worth, it is not surprising we are getting higher premiums.

I keep the Griff in a secure car park, swipe card entry/exit only, maned 24/7 with constant CCTV coverage must be safe? WRONG,some idiot at midnight decides to park his vehicle next to the Griff and loves the TVR colour so much that he wants it on his bumbper ie he drives up the passenger side door taking off the Griffs paint. He gets out of his bucket of *%@t and surveys the damage that he has caused. Then calmly returns to his bucket of *%@t and drives off.Now I ask the manager of said SECURE car park for the name and address of the offending erk plus a copy of the offence on video (have to have everybodies name and address with vehicle details, plus large fee to park in said car park)only to be told that due to the data protection act I am barred from such infomation !!!! Only the police can have such info.Police turn up view the tape take my statement, NEVER ever heard another word.I would like to introduce the erk to my friend who lives in the Griffs boot called WOODY (3ft baseball bat)now thats what I call justice

Or another view;

Next time he might run into the back of a Hummer H1 or big rig. Stupid @rse dead! He is a danger to himself and others.

The least he deserved was some swearing! Might actually do him some good!

BTW, make sure you pass his name and address to the TVR company, such that he will NEVER buy a TVR!
