People from the south going to Chatsworth

Hi all,

There are quite a few cerbs going from from the Sussex/Surrey area to Chatsworth.

It would be good to organise a convoy with other TVR's so if you are driving up on Saturday in time to make the raceproved day/drive out stick your name down.

Not sure where to suggest meeting/times/route, hopefully someone will have some suggestions!

These are the people from the cerb forum that I think are coming from the South. Apologies if I have included you are not coming on the Saturday.

hi Rich, there are 4 tivs going up on friday, will dock at portsmouth for 11.45am.
anyone travelling up on the friday who wants to meet up on route let me know.

maybe we can have a good sized convoy on the way back on the sunday?, us island chaps are planning to leave around 3.30pm to be back at portsmouth for 7.30pm on sunday evening.

Not sure what time we plan on leaving but we aren't planning on doing the saturday drive, but will confirm nearer the time. But the convoy south sounds like a good idea Clive

What's people's thoughts on how this is going to plan out on Sat morning??

I'm on Raceproved's dyno for 13.00 but wouldn't mind getting there before lunch time.

We can either meet you lot on the M25, we'd come up the M3 or we could meet you further up the M1 at the junction with the A43, Jct 15A??

hi Rich, I`m on the dyno for 10am, but looking to head off to meet up with the drive out at the pub lunch stop for 1`ish, so probably leave raceprooved for 12.

I'm on the Raceproved rolling road at 10.45am and will be leaving on Saturday morning from Sunningdale, not sure of route yet but would be keen to drive on convoy if anyone going for a similar time?

For those doing the run out and pub lunch we need to be at the car park at Chatsworth at just after 1030.

From junction 9 of the M25 it's approx 3 hours drive so it will be an early start!

Anyone got any suggestions for meeting points?

Hi Mark,
I am coming up from Horsham area. We can meet at Box Hill Car Park or the lay by just before Junction 9, as if you were coming form Chessington direction (the weigh bridge one). I was planning to leave Billingshurst soon after 6:30, so I could be there around about 7:00. If necessary, I can make it earlier, you just need to let me know, please, as another cerbera owner is coming to my place first.

Starter for 10.....

Google reckons from my house to Chatsworth via M25 will take 4hrs 11min.

Googles says:

1hr 20min to M25(jct12) via M3 from my house (Southampton)

25min round M25 to junction with M1

2hrs 25min to Chatsworth House from M25.

So if I leave at 6.30 I'll be at the M25 for 7.45

then M1 for 8.15, then Chatsworth for 10.30ish.

How does that sound for meeting up along the way, able to leave earlier or later if needed. I'm not doing the run out but going to race proved, just as long as I'm there by lunch time I'm happy.

rich, save a lot of time, drop off the m3 onto the a34, m40, then across to the m1 , much quicker if you avoid m25 mate., 3hrs 45 from portsmouth!

If you are going up the M1 where do you hit it and what time..... can meet at Northamton 15a

Really? Although a34 is the usaual route I'd go, google reckoned m25 was only 7 min longer. Did sound a bit strange.

Could meet everyone at the m1 services at the top of the a43 for 8.30?????

How about Rothersthorpe Services M1 (J15a) as a meeting place en-route? Will be ready for coffee by then. Its about 1:45 to Sheffield from there so suggest 09:30? (just realised thats the same place as suggested by Rich! 8:30 a bit early for me)
