I have always laughed at peoples stories about their TVR's and the effects they can have on the public, well now I have experienced it!!!

Pootling down to local shop and on the approach is a little girl aged about 3 on her scooter, she looks up in shock when she hears the rather loud Griff approaching; screams, bursts into tears, deserts the scooter and runs after her mum screaming!!! The wicked in me I am afraid to say beat my saintlier side and I was left with a big grin on my face, aren't I mean?

It's ok Mum gave her a hug....

Great isn't it

There is a girl of about 4 or 5 over the road from us that always covers her ears when I start ours up or drive past.
No, I don't give it extra large as I do it either, oh no. Nope. Not me.

Well OK then I might do.

I've had two high profile 'problems' with scaring children.
1) Le Man drivers parade 2 Summers ago. Giving it some beans for the crowd and a little girl pressed against the railing burst into tears.
2) Tredegar House last Autumn. Huge show, 2000+ exhibits. Me and a Vixen doing a parade lap of the arena. Me giving it plenty of revs but no smoking tyres and a girl bursts into tears and runs off.

Both girls - Hmmm

I've also scared Grannies in Micras
Last Summer I was leading a convoy and over took a slow Micra on a short straight. I was surprised to see the others catch me up despite the corners following the straight. Apparently the little old lady pulled over to the side of the road shaking like a leaf.

Not one of my prouder moments

Oh Yeah.....
Le Mans drivers parade again. We had stopped next to one of the stages with the commentators and cameras. The commentator had his back to the cars and it was obvious that he wasn't talking about the Tivs lined up in front of his stage.....

... so I waited until he paused for breath and blatted the throttle. He visibly jumped and swore into the open microphone.

An ex girlfriend of mine had a lad. When he was 3 or 4, he was stood talking to me while I was sat in my old wedge.

Without thinking, I brought the beast into life with a hint of right foot.

The poor lad - His face just exploded into a ball of horror, he went completely white and stood rooted to the same spot for a good 2 minutes, after I'd turned it off.

I know it sounds heartless and I know the lad suffered big time BUT, It's one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.

I think his undies must have resembled the starting line at Santa Pod after this episode.

We left a riverside pub one Sunday afternoon and a family of granny, grandad, mum, dad and two small children were sitting outside, about 10 feet from the Peril.

I went over to the family, spoke to mum in particular and warned her that the car had a habit of making quite a loud bang on ignition that might upset the kiddies by making them jump.

I was told...pretty sarcastically really...that the children were pretty sensible and loud cars wouldn't bother them....

Oh well........

Ray started the Peril and the kids were fine..........
but the granny must have leapt several feet in the
air!!!!!!

Not funny really....but I did warn them.

Well its close... couldn't think of a better one(was in a bit of a hurry)and i'm sure it was different shade when i sent it!!!

I also have been warned not to make any reference to skin tone, freckles, hair colour or lack of hair by Mrs N17 as the poor lad is takes offence so

I'm sure you or others can think of a more appropriate line...

Kids are certainly scared when a greying Fonz/Miami Vice dress-a-like pulls up alongside them in something that resembles a mobile brothel........
