Missing service book.
My Chim had no service record when I bought it, I have since bought a new service book and am keen to try and trace when and where any services were done. I have been told that TVR can trace through there dealerships, if a car has been serviced with them,(at a cost) has anyone had any experiance of this? Does any one know if dealerships would be happy to retrospectivly stamp the service sheet if TVR could show that the car was serviced with them?
Many Thanks

Simon

Everthing's possible. The guy who sold me my Chimaera had just moved house and couldn't find the manual and service book but he did have the service receipts. He bought a new manual and he got the dealers to stamp and sign the details on the relevant pages. Cost him some time and a few notes.

In the official service books, each service is recorded twice, one for the book , and one for TVR. The dealer then sends the the factory copy to TVR for thier records. Ring the factory on 01253 509000, ask for service and warranty dept and they should be able to help.

Indeed. And if you start using an independent rather than a dealer then there is no guarantee that the 2nd copy gets sent to the factory.

Edited to remove sweeping statement.

Service and Warranty are not the same department.
Ask for service.
