News team discussing the new MG, James Whale says "who makes those lovely cars from Blackpool?"

"that's TVR , they've gone bust "

"well that's what we want, good old British cars"

Was at the dentists yesterday, and idly thumbing through this months Car magazine.

In the letters page there was a reference to the current Jaguar (supercharged) drivrline and the latest crop of 'supercars'.....and bemoaning the lack of a British example.
The writer went on to say that what a perfect example would be...."How about putting the Jag engine in something as gorgeous as a TVR Griffith"?

Made me think.

I think he was being a bit tongue in cheek - the Speed Six and AJP8 are both partly designed by the same bloke who designed the Jag inline six.
