TVR racing at Donington this weekend

Hi all

Just to let you know that we are racing the Sagaris V8 at Donington this coming weekend (7-8 May) in the Dutch Supercar Challenge.

There is a huge grid of real quality - we are in the top class ('GT') and up against 4 x Moslers, 3 x GT1 Corvettes, an Aston Martin DBRS9, Dodge Viper SRT10, Ferrari 430 GT2, Porsche 997 RSR, Marcos LM600, Audi R8 LMS GT3 and so on. Over 30 cars on our grid...

Darren Dowling and I are sharing the drive and we are racing at 5pm on Saturday and 11.50am on Sunday - each race is 60 minutes.

Also on the bill are Boss GP (ex F1 cars - should be amazing to see and hear), massive grids of MX5s and Britcar endurance. Racing starts on Saturdfay afternoon and continues all day Sunday.

Tickets are £12 in advance from Britcar. If anyone wants to come along and support do come and say hello. Given the strength of the field we are up against we could do with some support!

Best of Luck Andy, Did I see Steves's Sagaris has also entered the DSC race rather than Britcar?

I'd Pop Over and lend a hand but Im down at Brands Hatch. Should be interesting, 2 cars, 3 drivers, 3*40 min races for the MGA and 2 * 40 min races for the Sprite plus a 30 min qualifier for each.. All in the same day with drivers who have never raced... I think Me and Dom will be busy....

Thanks Graham. We had a very successful test on Royal Wedding day so we are raring to go - but it will be very, very tough against that field. And their 2 sets of tyres a race out of the tyre warmers... usual TVR underdog stuff...

Steve is entered for DSC rather than Britcar, but when I spoke to Tim last week they were waiting on gearbox parts. I don't know if his car will be ready...

It's not too far from Chatsworth, and it is the Chatsworth Gathering this weekend, so hopefully there will be a few who divert to come and see you. I for one certainly hope to be there... Is there a special place us TVRs can gather ??
