I have a Subaru Legacy 3.0, 2005, running on 17" standard rims.
Saw in the PH long term test report for the AMG estate that Yoko Advans are Mercedes factory fit.
Until now I've faithfully replaced the Bridgestone RE050s front and rear but, tbh, I've not been that impressed with the wear rate, especially on the shoulders of the fronts. This despite regular tracking and alignment by a main dealer.
So I'm thinking about new tyres. The Yokohama Advan v103 option is a little bit cheaper, reinforced so I shouldn't get as much shoulder wear.
Anyone have experience of these?

Shoulder wear can also be down to the pressures you run, camber (which isn't always part of an alignment check) or how you drive, it's not really inherent to the tyre.
As for reinforced tyres giving less shoulder wear that is absolute b
ks. It just means that the tyre can carry a greater load at max speed.
AND IT'S TYRE!!!!! NOT TIRE!!!
