Not sure if I have posted this in the correct section, but here we go.
Hello Car fans, I could do with some technical information regarding GKN alloys. I purchased a car and the wheels came with the car in boxes having been recently refurbished. Today when attempting a trial fit the nuts do not enter the holes due to the powder coating, simply not enough clearence, so what is the correct procedure now? machine the nuts down or clear out the powder coating from the holes, and how can it be done?

Personally I would've masked the holes off! But since it is now done, I'd get my dremel out with a small flap wheel attachment. Machining the nuts down would be a bad idea!
