205/50/15 - Limited choice for performance rubber!
Discussion
My Tyres seem to have a reasonable selection.

Toyo R888 or R1R
Continental PremiumContact 2
Hankook VENTUS RS-2
Ecsta XS KU36 or Federal 595 RS-R for an off the beaten track type option

I feel your pain as I run the same size on my Fiat Coupe, seems a forgotten size now for performance tyres
Currently running Falken 512 on front and Toyo T1Rs on the back, unfortunately the 512 is discontinued now as it suits the car really well. The 912 isn't as good I'm lead to believe and was advised by my tyre man not to get them.
The Toyos have been great and have tightened the back up no end so will put a set on the front later this year, not seen a mega wear rate either as reported elsewhere.
The only other choice I really thought of were Contis as SWMBO car has these in 16" size, very nice grippy tyre but expensive and last less than 12K miles (had 4 sets now and all the same).
What we need is a rerun of the Pirelli P Zeros in 15" or Goodyear with the F1s

Cheers guys
Already using the Conti Premium Contact 2 at the moment. It's a good tyre but could do with a stiffer sidewall really. What I like about Conti is their consistency, but as mentioned, they don't last long and the feedback is a little vague because of the soft sidewall.
R888s are waaaay too noisy for the road :-)
The Hankooks look worth a shot and will be on the short list!

I really rate Uniroyal Rainsport 2's. I used them on a Mk3 MX5 & they were better than the Bridgestone Potenza's. I use them now on my Astra GTE & will buy again once they wear.Already using the Conti Premium Contact 2 at the moment. It's a good tyre but could do with a stiffer sidewall really. Quiet, great grip in wet & dry, deep tread pattern & about £70-£75 a corner fitted in 205/50/15V. Just what you want for spirited driving on our roads.
