I am going to re finish the calipers on my Boxster.
There seem to be quite a variety of ways of painting them.
Presently they are grey factory standard finish.
I want to paint them yellow.
So my questions are..... Who has actual hands on experience of doing this job?
What system and product did you use and how would you rate it?
What would you do differently or better if you were to do it again?
Spray or brush? Two part paint? Etc etc
Over to you....... Oh! And thanks in advance.

I've done them with both Hammerite and normal 2pack car paint and they each lasted pretty well. As long as they're properly prepped and primed, either will be fine. If you can I'd be more inclined to use 2k just because its much more impervious to brake fluid. Hammerite takes months before it can resist the fluid. They both withstand the heat from hard road/ moderate track driving.

Normally hammerite or Rustoleum. Hammerite chips easily but both as good as proper calliper paint.

How hard is the paint afterwards? I quite religiously wire brush calipers and carriers to remove brake pad crap whenever I change pads, would that brush away all the paint in those areas too?

I would think a wire brush would damage any paint. However if your changing pads etc you only need to clean the inside.

Hopefully the paint will protect the outside so it wont need brushing - Thats what im hoping anyway

Another vote for Smoothrite here (i.e. the smooth surface finish version of Hammerite).

Just painted my calipers with por15 caliper painting kit. not cheap but comes with cleaner, metal prep, primer and top coat.

Can't comment yet on how long it lasts but if you take your time with it and prep them properly it seems to give a really tough finish. I've used their primer quite a bit on the Triumph and its very good just don't get it on your hands!

Have tried various other types of paints and nothing seems to last that well.

Check out Frosts, they've got various types.
