I'm trying to replace the rear discs on my snotter (PT crusier). I've got the caliper off but the disc wont budge. It's not the handbrake shoes keeping it on as the hub is rotating freely. There are no holes in the disc to screw in a bolt and push the disc away. Can anybody help with some suggestions? Cheers.

Just because it's rotating doesn't mean the handbrake shoes aren't catching on a wear lip on the inside of the disc when trying to pull the disc off.
Try backing off the handbrake adjustment, it will need adjusting anyway if you are putting new discs on.

There is no forward/backward play in the disc whatsoever though.

3 leg puller
3 leg puller and hammer (if you're going to replace the disc)
Just hammer

You could try putting the hand brake on with the wheel off and a couple of nuts replaced on the studs and then use a bar to "move" the hub slightly while the disc stays still.

All else failsfast a bigger hammer. I managed to split a disc from the centre hub once it had corroded on so much.

Got them off after spraying with Halfords 'Shock and unlock' and hitting them with a round headed spanner between the studs. Whether they were not bonded that badly on, whether the Shock and Unlock is the king of penetrating oil is another question spin

Do not hit them too hard with a hammer you'll brinnel the bearings. Easiest way is to cut in from the edge of the disc & put a chisel in the saw cut & hit that. the disc will break in two.
