1994 Esprit ABS light flashing - HELP

Hi - help wanted - A customer has a 1994 Lotus Esprit 2.2lire. Whilst driving the ABS light flashes. This happens randomly and re-sets itself when the ignition switched of and on again.
I have cleaned around the sensors & used an AC volt meter to check the values from each of the wheel sensors whilst rotating the wheel
(The O/S front sensor produces approx 50% more voltage than the N/S for the same given speed)
I don't have any specialist scanners to plug into the cars system - so is there any way of simply finding out the fault codes?
